Through Faith & Truth Media, the faculty of Cairn University’s School of Bible and Theology is publishing its second annual Advent Devotional. The Promise Has Arrived is a 26-day devotional designed to reflect on select messianic prophecies that find their fulfillment in the birth and early life of our Savior.
Each devotional day includes two passages: an Old Testament prophecy and its New Testament fulfillment. After reading these passages, there is a short reflection written by a University faculty member, followed by a question for further reflection or family discussion.
Rather than ending on Christmas Day, this devotional includes 26 readings. This is reflective of the reality that Jesus’ incarnation is the beginning of his redemptive work, not the final chapter. The 26th day is included as a reminder that Christ’s work continues and serves as an invitation to continue in devotion beyond the Christmas season.
This devotional is being offered at no cost. You can pre-order your free digital download at faithtruthmedia.com/advent. The free PDF will be emailed on November 1 to those who pre-order.
